EricIsenberg@mmmukg.comOverview
Eric Isenberg is an Associate Vice President for Education Studies. He focuses on large-scale impact evaluations of educational programs and policies. Isenberg has studied student tutoring, literacy programs, and teacher induction and training programs using randomized controlled trials. He is currently using a regression discontinuity design to understand the effects of reclassifying students out of English learner status. In addition, Isenberg has examined the degree to which disadvantaged students have equal access to effective teachers, how federal funds are used to improve educator effectiveness, and how federal relief funds were spent during the coronavirus pandemic. Earlier in his career, he advised school districts on how to create state-of-the-art teacher evaluation systems. He has also served on the board of directors of the Association for Education Finance and Policy.
