KristieTaylor@mmmukg.comOverview
Kristie Taylor, PhD, is an Associate Vice President for Behavioral Health and Health Policy. Taylor’s expertise is in adult and youth tobacco use and cessation, environmental tobacco smoke exposure, and patterns of tobacco use.
Taylor is passionate about tobacco research because of the considerable harm combusted tobacco causes to people’s health and well-being. Despite reductions in tobacco use, it remains the leading cause of preventable death and disease, not just in the U.S. but around the world.
The tobacco research unit spans the areas of tobacco surveillance, epidemiology, tobacco use prevention and cessation, tobacco control program evaluation, biological research, and policy support. Clients include numerous federal, state, and international agencies, foundations, and academic institutions.
